The Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/2.8 VR lens is a constant-aperture zoom lens for Nikon Z cameras with a crop-frame sensor. Its constant f/2.8 aperture helps with low-light photography and creating bokeh, while the 16–50 mm focal length range covers a variety of shooting angles. VR image stabilization provides up to 4.5 stops of stabilization, and the STM mechanism enables fast, nearly silent autofocus.
The lens focuses from 0.15 m at 16 mm and 0.25 m at 50 mm. For video recording, it minimizes the change in angle of view while focusing and supports High-Resolution Zoom, which extends the focal length to 100 mm without loss of image quality. The control ring operates quietly and can be assigned functions such as manual focus or aperture adjustment. The lens mount is metal, and the lens is resistant to dust and drips.
