I use it with an S5D. The speed and accuracy of the AF are satisfactory; it’s not for sports, of course. Vignetting does exist at f/2.0 and recedes/disappears as the aperture is stopped down. The lens sharpness is also satisfactory, especially in the center when it is "wide open" at f/2.0 and at the edges after f/4.0.
The lens has a small size and weight, you can "aim" without raising the camera and it doesn’t attract attention on the street, which is a big plus for street photography. It renders beautifully in black and white too.
The 40mm help more than a 50mm on the street and do not distort for a simple portrait.
Metal everywhere, even on the lens hood, it can handle a light drizzle but only up to that point.
MFD 0.40 cm, I would have liked it to focus closer, but with a Raynox DCR-250, which fits in a pocket or that I always have in my bag, it becomes a handy small pseudomacro lens for when I need something like that.
