Attention! In the first 8 weeks of life, babies have an immature thermoregulatory system and cannot regulate their core temperature without extra effort, making them more sensitive to changes in temperature, whether cold or hot. The optimal room temperature for a baby is between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius. Overheating a baby by dressing them unsuitably for the ambient temperature increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
