I used it as a client with its own DHCP server on other devices. Once I set it up, I forgot about it. Neither I nor my client have had to deal with it for the last 2 years. No reboots, no crashes.

  • I bought it because I needed a VPN at some point. The installation was done online by someone I knew in 15 minutes. It worked perfectly as long as I needed it, it didn't freeze. It goes back in its box after completing the task it was purchased for until the next time. I didn't use the wifi at all, it doesn't have 5ghz, but you don't expect that for less than 30 euros.

It has a very weak processor. It frequently restarts due to high CPU usage. I also have a hap ac2 which has not given me any problems.

Mistakenly categorized as an access point, this particular device functions perfectly fine as a router, it just also has wireless LAN. For someone who wants to learn Mikrotik's Router OS and experiment with networking, it is the best 20€ you can spend. The wireless functionality did not impress me at all; it is very difficult to configure and not powerful enough to be used solely as a wireless access point, so don't get it with that expectation. This is due to the fact that it does not have a regular antenna, but rather a microstrip antenna. Additionally, the hardware is quite weak and will not perform well in complex scenarios. If you have a small house and a speed of up to 50Mbps, then it will do the job just fine. If you need it for work with many clients and multiple QoS settings, it's better to go for the Hex (I have it in a small hotel and it literally flies). Regardless, for its price, it is golden

The most value-for-money router! Incredible customization, you can configure it to do everything. Not recommended for users who do not have knowledge of networks, as the environment is complex due to the multitude of settings.
