I bought it by chance, simply because the description attracted me and I read it in one sitting. I couldn't wait to get home to read more. After that, I read all the books by this particular author. The writing style, his descriptions, put you right into the plot and create very beautiful images.

I bought it as very promising, based on the reviews, however it was disappointing and overrated. Boring and slow in the flow of the plot with an equally indifferent ending to the story. Tiresome, lengthy and unnecessary descriptions that do not create suspense or interest.

I have never read a more interesting novel in my life. Brilliant plot... Completely unpredictable... It is worth reading the entire series of John Verdon's books, but this particular one is by far the best

Although generally I never liked anything related to psychology, whether it's a book, a movie, or a series, until I read this specific book by John Verdon. The entire plot of the book, how it unfolds, and how it can captivate you from where it can tire you is amazing. Even the puzzles that put you in the process of solving them and thinking like Garney, searching for the murderer, are a great addition by the author. I highly recommend it, especially if you're starting with detective novels.

The book is captivating. The events are presented intensely and the solution to the mystery of the numbers as well as the development of the story are unpredictable. Definitely one of the best detective novels I have read.
