Tytan sealing silicone is an elastic bituminous roof sealant containing aluminium, which creates a silver coating. It is used to repair and insulate roof coverings, including sealing and joining sheet metal and metal components. The aluminium additive increases the coating’s resistance to UV radiation and ageing.
It can be applied to dry or damp surfaces and adheres to standard building materials. It is also used to seal metal roof tiles, sheet-metal joints and gutters, chimneys, ventilation, air-conditioning and exhaust ducts passing through the roof, as well as cracks and splits in roof coverings. Suitable for joints between bituminous roofing felt, roof tiles, sheet metal and asbestos-cement sheets; it contains no asbestos fibres.
