The Audi replacement key is a remote control cover with two buttons and a small battery, without a key blade. It is used to replace a worn or broken cover by transferring the internal components from the old remote control.
It does not include electronic components, a battery or a chip, and does not require reprogramming. To install it, remove the old casing, transfer the circuit board, chip and battery, then snap the two parts of the new cover together.
