The nipples are made from latex, a material derived from the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea). This liquid is refined to produce latex – a durable, elastic, and soft material with a texture similar to that of the mother's breast. The heat-resistant glass contains, in addition to the traditional glass mixture, boron trioxide, making it much more durable than other types of glass.

The round nipple resembles the softness of the mother’s nipple and promotes the correct positioning of the tongue and a sucking technique similar to breastfeeding.
