This book is divided into four parts, each addressing issues related to the analysis of qualitative data that have either not been examined so far in Greek literature (Parts I and IV) or are approached from a different perspective than usual (Parts II and III).
Part I develops a systematic approach to how concepts are formed in qualitative research, as the author believes that the goal of qualitative data analysis is to explain social phenomena, not just describe them.
Part II presents a methodological proposal for thematic analysis that differs from traditional approaches. It supports the view that thematic analysis can be applied in four different ways (variations), each differing depending on the use of the material (inductive/generative reasoning) and the research intentions (description/explanation).
Part III develops a new proposal for applying Grounded Theory Methodology, based on the writings of Barney Glaser and Leonard Schatzman.
Finally, Part IV focuses on whether and under what methodological terms a systematic literature review for qualitative research is feasible, given that systematic review has positivist roots and has developed in fields unrelated to qualitative social research (e.g., epidemiology, pharmacology).
