Codenames: Back to Hogwarts offers a new dimension to the classic word-matching game Codenames, with thematic mechanics that change the gameplay experience for both old and new players. Players, as new students at Hogwarts, will be sorted into two rival teams, each with its own overseer who knows the secrets of the famous school's cards. During their turn, the overseers give their team a clue consisting of a single word and a number, indicating how many cards are related to that word. The students must follow these clues to explore Hogwarts, guessing the corresponding words and revealing one card at a time. If their guesses are correct, they can continue guessing words up to the specified number. If they encounter the opposing team's card, a dead end, a locked door, or another obstacle, their turn will end. Beware of the overseer Argus Filch, as this could mean the end of the game and victory for the opposing team.
