The Lost Ruins of Arnak: Twisted Paths board game expansion by Czech Games Edition adds a new double-sided map, larger than the one in the base game, with two new research tracks and unique mechanics and components. One side leads to the Owl Temple, where the new temple tiles can be combined to create additional idol spaces, while the third research symbol, the lantern, enhances research rewards. The other side leads to the dark caves of the Spider Temple, where dark tiles are used to activate mysterious altars and place artifacts directly on the research track.
Dark tiles offer rewards, but overusing them can result in lost points. The expansion also includes new guardians, sites, and assistants.
