The Shimano Speedmaster Tapered Surf Leader is designed for use with thin monofilament rigs or ultra-thin lines/braid and absorbs the tremendous pressure exerted on the line during long-distance casting. Each shock leader has a length of 15 meters, ideal for all types of surfcasting rods and casting techniques.

Using a thin mainline combined with a sturdy, tapered shock leader is the most effective and cost-efficient way to increase your casting distance. The Speedmaster provides maximum strength at the start of the leader to absorb the pressure during casting, while its thinner tip creates fewer knots, allowing for smooth and easy passage through the rod guides.
