Beyond the snowy mountains of Spirecrest, to the south of the Everdell valley, lies the daring land of Silverfrost. In this standalone game of the series, you are called to build and maintain a city within a demanding and frozen landscape. You will need to clear the accumulated snow, light fires to keep your citizens warm, and complete important missions for the Guild of Scouts.

In Everdell Silverfrost, you take on the role of leaders striving to develop the most successful city before winter ends. Place your workers in various locations to gather resources, but beware: the weather is unpredictable and snow can block critical areas. You will need to strategically manage your fire and resources, play construction and creature cards to create synergies, and adapt to the new challenges each season brings.

The game is played in rounds where players perform one of three actions: Worker Placement, Card Play, or Preparation for the Next Age.

During Worker Placement, you send your pawns to locations on the board, destination cards, or the mountain to collect resources (wood, resin, pebbles, berries) or activate special abilities. However, in Silverfrost, locations may be covered by snow. To use a snowy location, you must spend Fire tokens to clear it.

Card Play allows you to add creatures and constructions to your city by paying the corresponding resource cost. These cards provide permanent benefits, victory points, or special actions. The new mechanic with "Chimneys" allows you to play specific creatures for free if you have the appropriate infrastructure and enough warmth.

When your workers are finished, you perform Preparation for the Next Age, retrieving your workers and receiving new ones, while the effects of the next game phase are activated. The game ends when all players have passed the last age, and the winner is the one with the most points from cards, missions, and bonuses.
