Testing began on a computer with virtual CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis, then continued in a wind tunnel at a 1:1 scale with a motorcycle, followed by on-road testing that validated the helmet’s aerodynamic performance at various angles and riding positions.
A translucent racing spoiler extension can be added to the helmet to further improve stability at high speeds. The helmet is made from X-PRO carbon in three different shell sizes, using 3K carbon fabric to make it exceptionally lightweight (up to 10% lighter than other carbon shells), stronger and perfectly fitting.
All the linings are removable and washable, with hypoallergenic and antibacterial properties. They feature X-Mart Dry technology—a soft, specially treated fabric that helps keep you cool, dry and comfortable. They can also be adjusted using a special mechanism, resulting in a more balanced, safer and more versatile helmet on the track.
The visor is made from shatterproof Lexan PC and features X-Sensus Vision technology, ensuring both focused and peripheral vision, with a viewing angle 15% wider than standard requirements, a 225º horizontal field of view and an 85º vertical field of view!
The aerodynamic design, visor and special vibration-damping side mechanisms ensure excellent noise insulation and help you stay focused.
The Air Dynamic System ventilation system includes six air intakes and four exhaust outlets, giving you complete control over the airflow through the helmet and helping keep your head as cool as possible.
The X.R3R comes with the new ECE 22-06 approval, which includes new tests conducted at higher speeds, with more impact locations, improved shock-absorption performance and additional requirements regarding its features.
