Description

How do you solve a murder? You apply what you’ve learned from the queen of mysteries – Agatha Christie! Iris and Alice find themselves unintentionally entangled in yet another mystery in Castle Cove.

Last October, Brooke Donovan, former best friend of Alice Ogilvie, was murdered – and if it weren’t for Alice’s unlikely alliance with her private tutor, Iris Adams, as well as her library filled with all the Agatha Christie books, it’s almost certain the wrong person would have gone to prison for the crime. The Castle Cove police aren’t exactly experts at solving murders. In fact, they’re notorious for not cracking homicide cases.

That’s why, on the night of Castle Cove High’s annual Sadie Hawkins dance, Alice seizes the opportunity to explore Levy Castle – the place where the most famous deaths have occurred. Mona Moody – the star of classic films – died in the castle nearly a century ago, and Alice is sure the police botched that investigation too. But before she can even think about digging deeper into the case, she stumbles upon a new crime! She finds Rebecca Kennedy lying on the floor in a pool of blood. And who is standing over Kennedy? Another of Alice’s former friends – Helen Park.

The Castle Cove Police Department considers the case open and shut, but Alice and Iris are certain it can’t be that simple. Park isn’t a murderer – and the girls know firsthand that in life, and in mysteries, things are rarely as they seem. To understand the present, sometimes you have to look to the past.

Castle Cove is full of secrets, and Alice and Iris are ready to uncover one of the biggest – and most dangerous – secrets of all!
