Description & Specifications

Poplar Body Construction & 24" Ergonomics

The guitar's body is made from solid poplar (Poplar), a wood chosen for its low weight and balanced midrange tonal response. The body features the distinctive vintage styling of Vox's historic models, while also incorporating a specially designed speaker cabinet inside. The bolt-on maple (Maple) neck is paired with a Purpleheart fingerboard with a 9.5" (240 mm) radius. The short 24" (610 mm) scale length reduces string tension and brings the 19 frets closer together, providing a comfortable feel and making chords easier to play.

Built-In Amplifier, Speaker & Passive Radiators

The APC-1 operates completely independently without the need for external equipment. Integrated into the front of the body is an oval 4.7" x 3.1" full-range speaker, powered by a built-in 4.6 W RMS amplifier. To enhance the low frequencies, Vox has installed two passive radiators. This technology uses air pressure inside the internal cavity to deliver enhanced bass and a full-bodied sound without distortion. The guitar features controls for clean or overdriven (Gain/Drive) tones, and offers up to 5 hours of continuous use with 6 standard AA alkaline batteries.

Digital Effects, Rhythm Machine & Connectivity Features

The electronic circuit features an effects processor with Chorus, Tremolo, Delay/Echo and Reverb, adjustable via dedicated knobs. It also includes a standalone drum machine with 33 rhythmic patterns, adjustable tempo from 40 to 240 BPM and independent volume control, as well as a built-in LED tuner for quick tuning. For connectivity, it features a 3.5 mm AUX In input for playing backing tracks, a 3.5 mm headphone output for silent practice, and a standard 1/4" Jack output for connecting the instrument to any conventional external amplifier or audio console.
