Silymarin 14000 Tablets - Herbal Supplements

The innovative formula of this product was developed by Professor, Dr. of Pharmacology Ursula Stancu, member of the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences, a recognized name in the field of phytotherapy.

This product is quality-controlled by the Department of Pharmacognosy of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the "Gr. T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi.

Milk thistle belongs to the Asteraceae family and has been used for over 2000 years to maintain liver health. The first medicinal uses of the plant were made by the Greek physician Dioscorides, who used milk thistle to treat snake bites. In 1597, the famous botanist Gerard noted that milk thistle was very useful and used to support liver health. English naturalist Nicholas Culpeper confirmed its effectiveness in 1650. Scientific interest in milk thistle emerged only in 1970, when its pharmacodynamic effects were demonstrated. Specialized studies identified a flavonoid system in its chemical composition called silymarin (composed of silybin, silychristin, and silydianin), which is the biologically active ingredient responsible for its beneficial actions.

Dosage

• Adults: 1 tablet 3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals.
• Adolescents aged 15 to 18: 1 tablet 2-3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals.
• Children aged 10 to 14: 1/2 tablet 3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals.
• Children under 10 years: use only after medical consultation.

The tablets should be swallowed with water or crushed in the mouth (absorption of the active substances is much faster). If swallowing is difficult, the tablets can be broken in half.

Ingredients

Ingredients per tablet: microcrystalline cellulose, milk thistle (Silybum marianum) - (350 mg) 40-50:1 fruit extract with 80% silymarin, of which 30% is silybin (1 tablet contains 280 mg silymarin, equivalent to 14 g milk thistle), colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
