When the pressure exceeds a preset value, the valve automatically opens, allowing the system to decompress. Its proper installation is critical, as increased pressure can pose serious risks to people and materials. It is installed at the highest point of the system and does not require a switch or drain valve. Therefore, it has two ports: one for the inlet of the medium and one for the outlet. When the inlet is closed, flow is interrupted, but when it is open, flow to the inlet and outlet is the same.
