Permatex Red Cut gasket maker is designed for making or coating gaskets, as well as sealing high-temperature applications such as exhaust manifolds, thermostat housings, valve covers and water pumps. Apply it to the cut gasket before installation to help prevent leaks and maintain pressure.
It dries within one hour and reaches full strength in 24 hours. It resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking, and withstands contact with engine oils, gear oils, alcohol and antifreeze solutions. Not recommended for areas that come into contact with gasoline.
