It’s a bit long of a review and it’s mainly aimed at Huawei users, because I know how hard it is to leave and go somewhere else, since with every device there’s always something missing and you pay a fortune.
So, as a Huawei device user since 2019 with the P30, later with the problems, I still continued because I loved it, with the P50 Pro. The first one was a more complete device and because of Google services, the second one did the job but it wasn’t the same, let’s be honest, and with a very mediocre battery and the 888 processor burning through power. Yes, almost everything works, but it’s not the same user experience unfortunately. Cameras that even now stand against many expensive devices — that camera magic that Huawei gives you, no other company has it. Not Oppo, not Vivo, not Apple, not anyone. No way, Oppo and 1799? We must be out of our minds. They pushed aside the beloved Huawei and you have to spend a ton of money to have a complete device. So either I would buy Huawei again, the Pura 80 Pro or even the Ultra, or I would find a device that does everything well. From the experience of people around me, whoever had OnePlus was like they had an iPhone; you don’t easily switch to another camp, and if you do, you always think about OnePlus.
I had been looking into it for a very long time, months to be exact. I didn’t want to spend 1000 euros either; that’s a lot of money, guys, and objectively wasted money. So I set a limit and said up to 850 euros max. I also found the S26 Ultra, I thought about it a lot, I said it’s a nice phone, but before Huawei I only had Samsung flagships, I’ve lived with them, I know them very well. I got OnePlus because I wanted to see something different on Android, with a small compromise in the camera, which for now the only negative I’ve seen is a bit in low light, nothing terrible of course, and the selfie camera, which is fine but not exactly a 2026 selfie camera. I was a little disappointed with the selfie camera, but nothing terrible.
In video, it’s not something I ever cared much about with devices; it’s very good, you do your job very well.
And now we come to the rest of it, where you just say: “I HAVE THE BEST ANDROID” at the best price in my hands. That simple? YES, THAT SIMPLE!!! Battery? Screen? Sound? Speed? Charging? Software? Multitasking? Looks? Build quality? Ergonomics? What can I say first, honestly.
If you’re obsessed with having the best camera (like I am), don’t hesitate to get it — you’ll save a lot of money for a camera that is maybe 10% better in certain cases and conditions, with absolutely no real point, just because of the hang-ups we have from watching comparison videos by YouTubers.
I hope I helped even a little future buyers of the device, and sorry for the many words!!!
