Bororó is a primitive tribe in Brazil that lives in the Amazon, in stone age conditions. Scientists often refer to them in awe because of the complex simplicity of a way of life drawn from the depths of time and the jungle.
Bororó is two train journeys, a trip by boat in the Cyclades, a breakup, a festival, a garden party, two drunken nights, a dream, many phone calls, an exclusive news story, the official opening of a government project, a lighter collection, a Nobel Prize in Economics, a distinguished folk orchestra.
Bororó is a week from the lives of Lambros, Dionysis, Stavros, and Angelos. It is the story of four guys who do not try to stand out, to conform, or to be liked. They simply survive, one for the other and for those like them.
They are not avengers, a “shining”, “enlightened” youth. They are four frightened Bororó, who simply try to exist without becoming civilized. But Bororó can also be that which is not seen, that which is not said. It is only heard, like an endless “joke”, beyond limits and rules.
