The ZWO AM3N equatorial mount uses harmonic drive technology and supports telescopes weighing up to 8 kg without a counterweight. With a counterweight and counterweight shaft, sold separately, it can carry telescopes weighing up to 13 kg. It operates in equatorial mode for astrophotography or altazimuth mode for visual observation and lunar and planetary photography.
The status indicator shows the selected mode: red for equatorial and green for altazimuth. The mount features Wi-Fi, an ST-4 autoguiding port, additional power ports, and a USB Type-C port. Its functions can be controlled via a smartphone or the wireless hand controller, and it is compatible with ASIAir. The hex key opening makes azimuth adjustment easier, while the magnetic holder keeps the key in place.
