The Purewave PWPAC-10D replacement faucet water filter is made from solid coconut shell activated carbon. It filters down to 1 μm and reduces chlorine, sediment and particles, as well as heavy metals such as lead, copper, mercury and strontium. It also retains volatile organic compounds, ethers, herbicides and pesticides, chloroform, asbestos fibers, and Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Entamoeba and Toxoplasma cysts. It does not release carbon dust.
