What is Kombucha? A fungus that develops in tea extract. The fungus converts sugar into organic acids and natural carbon dioxide, resulting in a natural and very healthy carbonated drink. It is considered an ideal source of probiotics. It has a taste similar to cider drinks, with a slightly sour flavor. The origins of Kombucha date back to around 250 AD in China, where it was called "the elixir of immortality".
