The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L biological microscope features three objective lenses offering magnifications of 40x, 100x, and 400x. Its optics are made of glass, and a revolving nosepiece lets you switch between magnifications. The monocular tube is inclined at 45°, while LED illumination above and below the stage allows you to observe transparent, translucent, and opaque specimens. The illumination intensity is adjustable to suit the specimen.

The body is made of plastic, and the microscope can be powered either by a 220 V/50 Hz power outlet or by 3 AA batteries. The Levenhuk K50 experiment kit is included, with equipment and specimens for observations and experiments.
