The Haradrim come from the southern regions of Middle-earth, where the landscape is dominated by plains filled with snakes and barren deserts. They are a tough race of Humans, their hearts hardened by the weight of a bloody history, and their fate is inextricably linked to that of Sauron. Although they are not subjugated under his rule like many of his Northmen, they choose to fight alongside his armies due to their hatred of Gondor. When the Haradrim put aside their petty disputes and unite their forces under one banner, they do so in numbers that rival Mordor's armies. Swarms of lightly armed warriors attack their enemies, and their poisoned arrows or long, spiny spears bring death. What they lack in skills and training, the men of Harad compensate for with brutality. Living among the endless-warrior tribes of Harad has always been difficult, as even when there is no major conflict, raids between tribes offer little peace.
