This natural salt was formed 200 million years ago through the evaporation of the Mormotic Sea and is preserved, protected from modern pollution, at a depth of 400-750 meters below the earth's surface. The salt is extracted using traditional mining methods and then carefully ground in special mills, maintaining its natural, original composition.
