PXN VD6 DBT Kit - VD6 Base + WDS R2 Steering Wheel + PD HM Brake/Accelerator Pedals + Z9 Clamp

The PXN VD6 DBT is a complete set designed for players who want to feel like they are behind the wheel of a real racing car. The package includes the PXN VD6 wheelbase with Direct Drive, the WDS R2 steering wheel, a PD HM pedal set, and the Z9 mounting clamp. The whole system works on computers with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11 and connects via USB cable. The headset offers a powerful driving experience, precise motion reproduction, and extensive customization options for every player.

PXN VD6 Base

The main component of the kit is the PXN VD6 base, which uses Direct Drive. As a result, responses are instantaneous and the force and detail transmitted to the wheel are very realistic. The constant torque of 6 Nm makes every direction change or every bump on the curb feel great. An integrated 24-bit magnetic encoder ensures precise operation, while a temperature control system prevents the unit from overheating during long gaming sessions. The low-inertia servo motor used in the engine further improves the speed and smoothness of the response.

WDS R2 Steering Wheel

The base comes with a WDS R2 steering wheel with a diameter of 280 mm. It is covered with microfiber, which improves grip and comfort during long drives. The steering wheel is equipped with 11 programmable buttons, 2 selectors, and 11 LEDs, which can be configured as you wish, such as a tachometer or gear shift indicator. The aluminum gear shift buttons are durable and comfortable to use, while the quick release system allows for easy removal and replacement of the steering wheel without tools.

Hall Technology

The kit also includes 2 pedals (accelerator and brake), which use Hall sensors that operate without contact, offering high precision and smooth operation. An additional advantage is the low power consumption and the extremely sensitive response to pressure – both during gentle acceleration and strong braking. You can also adjust the height, tilt angle, and distance between the pedals, making it easy to customize the setup to your preferences. The tilt angle can be changed by up to 60°, while a special hole system allows flexible rearrangement of the entire panel. Thanks to the use of non-slip pads, the pedals grip well on both hard floors and carpets.

PXN Sense+ Algorithm

The set uses a special PXN Sense+ algorithm, which analyzes data from the game and transmits it directly to the steering wheel. This makes driving mapping even more accurate. The system responds to road conditions, vehicle type, and behavior in real time, resulting in more realistic and intuitive driving.

PXN SimRacing Application

The entire kit operates with the PXN SimRacing application, which allows you to quickly and easily adjust everything. Here you can calibrate the pedals (accelerator and brake), configure the button functions on the steering wheel, set up force feedback, or switch profiles for different games.     Very good and sturdy/strong wheelbase. Coming from a Logitech G923, there is no comparison, both in terms of strength and feel. I use it heavily with rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2. Obviously it needs testing and general tuning (so it doesn't clip), to get it set up to your liking. In general, at first, სანამ you get used to it, it would be good not to have it at 100% (FFB) both in the app and in-game. Depending on what you run — I run GT3 in rFactor 2, for example — in the app I have it at 100% (it's good to always keep it at 100%) and the in-game FFB at 70%, with the car multiplier at 70-80% (at first I had it a bit lower so I wouldn't lose the feel). The instructions are a bit all over the place, but it's not hard to connect everything, so I'll skip that; the cables are also basically nothing special. The wheel is nice for the money, very decent. The only thing I didn't think would bother me, but in the end bothers me quite a lot, is the joystick it has for navigation (MFD). It's quite annoying, especially when you need to change something quickly while driving, because it's quite soft, so if you're not precise, it goes all over the place. The pedals are fine too, and it also comes with a free plate so you can make the brake stiffer. The app is okay, it's not on Moza's level, but it does the job just fine. The only issue I have is that the RPM LEDs on the wheel don't light up directly from the app, even though it has proper settings for brightness etc. I've only managed to set it up through SimHub. Also, if you get it, it would be good to have a stand/base and not put it on a desk, because it's quite powerful. Now, in terms of ecosystem, it doesn't have that much yet. A little while ago it also released its load-cell pedals, and it also has a new wheel, the GT-One. If you want to invest in such things and have many options, then I think you should choose the corresponding Moza wheel base. I believe they will keep releasing peripherals, since from what I've seen both the load cell and the GT-ONE have been released with good quality, so in the future this may change..
