The Tenba DNA 9 Slim sling bag carries a mirrorless or DSLR camera along with 2–3 lenses, a flash, and accessories. The padded insert in the main compartment is removable, allowing the bag to be used for personal items as well, while the rear compartment remains available for a tablet up to 10 inches (25 cm).

The Helix All-Weather nylon exterior has a polyurethane coating, while the 70D ripstop nylon interior features a double polyurethane coating and a soft brushed tricot lining. The TPU-coated base with sealed seams is waterproof on the bottom of the bag. The removable, reversible WeatherWrap rain cover has a silver side and a black side.

The top zipper provides quick access to gear without opening the front flap. Fidlock magnetic clips open and close with one hand, while the Whisper Hook closure opens almost silently. The front zippered pocket holds batteries, cables, memory cards, a phone, and keys, while the rear zippered pocket is suitable for a passport and other items. The elastic mesh side pockets hold a small water bottle.
