The exact origin of balloons is unclear; what is certain is that the first balloons were made from animal intestines. In cultures such as the Maya and Aztecs, animals made from inflated intestines sewn with plant fibers have been found.
According to research by English physicist Michael Faraday, the first rubber balloon was created in 1824. In 1912, Harry Rose Gill, owner of a rubber factory, began producing and selling elongated balloons that resembled cigars.
Modeling balloons is recommended across all categories of sellers; however, this activity requires a lot of patience while learning techniques. That is why the figurines are made in the sequence presented in the book, to gain experience in creating more complex figurines.
