The ASI 585M Pro is equipped with a modern sensor with 3840 x 2160 pixels. The Sony IMX585 sensor offers high resolution (2.9µm pixel), high frame rate, and complete absence of annoying amplifier glow. This makes this camera ideal for photographing planets, the Sun, and the Moon, as well as deep sky astrophotography.

The images are of high quality, as the sensor does not exhibit amplifier glow and the images are smooth. The Peltier cooling provides a temperature up to 35° below ambient temperature, ensuring low-noise images.

The transparent glass filter prevents dust from entering the sensor and allows the passage of ultraviolet and infrared radiation, enabling infrared imaging. With the appropriate choice of filters, the user has full control over the light reaching the sensor.

The adjustable Peltier cooling keeps the sensor cold even at high temperatures, allowing cooling down to -15° at an ambient temperature of 20°.

The back-illuminated CMOS sensor offers low read noise and improved sensitivity, providing excellent visibility in low-light conditions. The ASI 585M Pro can be used for solar, lunar, and planetary imaging, as well as live streaming.
