The ZWO ASI 2600 MC camera is designed for astrophotography and recording videos of astronomical objects. Its APS-C sensor offers a wide field of view, while back-illuminated technology and a quantum efficiency of 80%–90% contribute to its sensitivity in low light. Peltier cooling lowers the sensor temperature to 35 °C below ambient temperature.

The camera is used to photograph nebulae and galaxies, as well as the Moon and planets. It features a USB 3.0 connection and can also operate via USB 2.0, while its DDR3 buffer memory supports stable data transfer. The 16-bit ADC provides a wide image depth.
