Api Vitalis Pure royal jelly is a whitish-yellow, viscous substance secreted by the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of bees. It is the queen bee’s exclusive food throughout her life. It contains approximately 66% water, 15% carbohydrates, mainly fructose and glucose, and 13%–18% protein. It also contains peptides and amino acids, including eight essential amino acids that the human body cannot synthesize.
