Pure organic propolis is a white-yellow thick substance secreted from the cephalic glands (hypopharyngeal and salivary glands) of bees and constitutes the exclusive diet of the queens throughout their lives. Pure organic propolis is an excellent organic product with the following composition:

• Water: about 66%
• Carbohydrates: 15%, mainly fructose and glucose
• Proteins: from 13% to 18%, mainly proteins, peptides, and growth factors. A large part of the proteins consists of free or complex amino acids.

Additionally, propolis, besides its high amino acid content, contains particularly 8 essential amino acids that our body cannot synthesize, although they are essential for a balanced daily diet.
