Fifty years on the road. Michalis Boliakis, as a silent witness to the world, in a turning point of his journey from analog to digital technology, shares with us fifty years of an exciting photographic journey where the eye does not chase the spectacle, where the camera is not imposed but listens.
"What you hold in your hands is neither a documentary nor a travel album, but an ethnography of the moment, a rescue of glimpses, postures, and movements from various parts of the Planet. You hold a collection of moments that were made not with the hand, but with the soul, and aim to become part of our collective experience. An invitation to understand the world around us, an invitation to participate in the ongoing storytelling of humanity. It is not an ode to a lost world, but a testimony of a world that insists on existence – far from noise, in quiet but authentic tones. Within the pages of this album, you will recognize something of your own even though you were not there when Boliakis pressed the shutter. And that is something precious."
