On September 20, 2024, the Law School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, alongside the Hellenic Competition Commission, executed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a common framework of initiatives. This includes the joint organization of research activities, the mutual transfer of know-how, the participation of Law School students in educational projects of the Hellenic Competition Commission, and practical training at the Commission.

To commemorate this occasion, the 1st Competition Law Conference was organized by the Law School in cooperation with the Hellenic Competition Commission. The Conference featured a diverse pool of reputable speakers, including world-class academics and officials from competition agencies, who presented a wealth of knowledge and experience regarding the evolving landscape of competition law.

This volume includes the contributions from the Conference speakers and is of interest to the academic community, competition agencies, practitioners, and students alike. It aims to foster a continuous dialogue between the Law School and all those involved in the research and practice of EU and national competition law.
