The Sony back-illuminated CMOS sensor ensures maximum sensitivity and short exposure times, enabling the capture of faint nebulae and galaxies without active cooling.

A 12V power supply is essential for all cooled ASI cameras. A DC adapter of 12V@3A~5A or a lithium battery of 11-14V is recommended.

Monochrome cameras offer higher sensitivity and resolution; however, they require more effort to achieve color images and the use of color filters with a filter wheel.
