The ZWO Camera ASI 174 MM Mini combines autoguiding and astronomical imaging capabilities. Its Sony IMX174 CMOS sensor is monochrome, highly sensitive, and responsive to infrared radiation. The camera is used for planetary and lunar imaging with Lucky Imaging (stacking), as well as deep-sky imaging of faint nebulae.
Its compact housing and low weight make it suitable for use with a guide scope or an off-axis guider. It features an ST-4 port and a low-noise CMOS sensor. Its short back focus also allows it to be used with telescopes that have limited focus travel, such as Newtonians. The clear glass filter is also transparent to infrared radiation. When using a refractor, an infrared-cut filter is useful because the telescope lens is optimized for visible light.
