Description

Lens Accessories PhotoCame Nikon Mount for all Nikon SLR & DSLR cameras.

This extension tube increases the distance between the lens and the film or digital sensor. The farther the lens is from the sensor, the closer the focus becomes and the greater the magnification. The extension tube does not affect image quality since it contains no optical elements. Compared to close-up filters, which are often criticized for degrading image quality, this tube maintains clarity.

  • Composition: 5 parts
  • Camera body adapter
  • Lens adapter
  • 9mm tube (Tube 1)
  • 16mm tube (Tube 2)
  • 30mm tube (Tube 3)

Adding more tubes results in closer focus and greater magnification. Made of metal (not plastic), color: black.

Note: There are no electrical contacts in the extension tubes. Exposure must be adjusted manually. Aperture control is unavailable if using a lens that does not allow manual aperture adjustment (without an aperture ring).

Suitable for: All Nikon DSLR and Film SLR lenses.

Instructions for Use: When the tubes are attached, full manual adjustment is required, and it is important to use plenty of light. Basic steps include:

  1. Set the lens to maximum aperture (recommended).
  2. Set the camera and lens to manual mode, turn off, and detach the lens.
  3. Adjust the extension tube between the camera and lens (align red marks).
  4. Mount the camera on a tripod or rail system.
  5. Place the object close to the lens and use abundant light.
  6. Increase ISO and decrease shutter speed.
  7. Focus by moving the camera closer or farther away or manually turning the focus ring.

The depth of field (DOF) is very shallow. It is not necessary to use all tubes at once—you can combine them. Using shorter tubes will produce a brighter image in the viewfinder, but the same magnification as using all tubes together will not be achieved.
