I had said that I wouldn't buy a Casio again unless it was solar. Futile! This particular one didn't leave me indifferent, it has a 10-year battery life and, in contrast to having to change it, it uses a 2032 lithium battery which you can now find everywhere, 4 Philips screws, 1.5 screwdriver, a bit of silicone on the gasket, a bit of patience and you're good for another 10 years!
The watch is super light at 60 grams, 47 mm lug to lug with a 35 mm crystal, 20 mm lug width strap, and it sits nicely on my 18 cm wrist with large digits, perfect for boomer presbyopes!
Its screen is LCD and at large viewing angles it shows what they call ghosting, as in the more expensive single-line models Casio equips with STN-type screens; personally, it doesn't bother me. It reminds me of the Seiko Sbep 005 field master prospex.
Classic functions: split timer stopwatch, 3 alarms where you can set the activation date, countdown up to 24 hours, dual time, adjustable lighting 1-3 seconds, satisfactory with two amber-colored LEDs, it does not have a backward button in the settings! So if you make a mistake you have to do a full 24-hour cycle (I can handle it) and also a weird one (but aesthetically it did its job) that's why I got it with the pepsi bezel, this particular rotating friction ring without clicks is essentially useless! Unless you combine it with the one-minute timer that runs diametrically with dot animation on the screen and you mark from any point you want the end of the minute!! 100m waterproof so you can even swim with it, relatively soft plastic strap with two 'wings' underneath that help it fit on the hand, large metal buttons, resin crystal which is aligned with the case and not protected so scratches are certain, definitely use a screen protector otherwise polish with poly watch (I'll deduct a star for this), otherwise aluminum bezel, and case back, what can I say for its price, honest!
