The Bohrcraft cylindrical drill bit with a diameter of 4.9 mm is designed for drilling metal. It has a right-hand cutting direction, a 118° point angle and a Type N design in accordance with DIN 338. It is made from machined, ground HSS-G and has a diameter tolerance of h8.
From a diameter of 2 mm, it features additional grinding on the seating surface and a reduced chisel edge in accordance with DIN 1412 C, for easier cutting, lower drilling force and faster drilling. It is suitable for unalloyed and low-alloy steels with Rm ≤ 800 N/mm², cast iron, non-ferrous materials such as aluminium, copper and bronze alloys, plastics and various sintered materials, except sintered components made from steel powders or carbides. It is recommended for use with drills and stationary machines, while use with portable electric or pneumatic drills is intended only for occasional drilling.
