Bohrcraft Type N twist drills have a 118° point angle and are made from HSS-G, with a machined and ground surface. They feature right-hand cutting and a helical flute with a 20°–30° helix angle. They are designed for drilling non-alloy and low-alloy steels with Rm ≤ 800 N/mm², cast iron, non-ferrous materials such as aluminium, copper and brass alloys, plastics, and various sintered materials, except steel powder or carbide components.
Recommended for use in drilling machines and stationary equipment, they may be used only occasionally in portable electric or pneumatic drills. From a diameter of 2 mm, they feature an additional grind on the seating surface and a reduced chisel edge, in accordance with DIN 1412 C.
