The F4 telescope filter set includes four optical filters that increase contrast in unevenly illuminated areas of planets, making it easier to study their details. The filters have internal threads, allowing them to be combined with one another or with other filters.

The red #23A filter is intended primarily for Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter, and also brings out dust particles in comet tails. The green #58 reduces chromatic aberration in refracting telescopes and increases image resolution. The blue #80A and yellow #12 are suitable for observing planets, comets, and the Moon, with the yellow filter also suitable for use with small-aperture telescopes.
