The Noctua NH-D15 G2 chromax.black is the second generation of the legendary air cooler, redesigned to offer top performance in an impressive, all-black package. As an active dual tower cooler, it features 8 heatpipes and a 20% larger fin surface compared to its predecessor, allowing it to handle higher thermal loads with characteristic ease. It is fully compatible with modern sockets (LGA1700, LGA1851, AM5, etc.), offering the performance of a liquid cooling system with the reliability and quiet operation guaranteed by the Noctua name.

Top Thermal Performance and Design

The new G2 generation takes cooling to the next level by increasing the number of heatpipes from six to eight, which accelerates heat transfer from the base to the fins. The 20% increase in surface area ensures that the cooler can handle even the most demanding processors under continuous pressure. At the same time, the chromax.black edition offers superior aesthetics, with all components—from the fins and heatpipes to the fans—painted black, making it ideal for high-end builds where appearance plays a leading role.

Advanced Fans and NF-A14x25r G2 Technology

At the heart of the system are two next-generation NF-A14x25r G2 PWM fans, which operate at a maximum speed of 1500 rpm.
