This work attempts a systematic theological and historical approach to the role played by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in the modern era, through the creation and activity of the Orthodox Center in Chambezy, Geneva.
Through archival material, church texts, and theological analysis, I seek to highlight the contribution of the Patriarchate to promoting Orthodox, ecumenical, and interfaith dialogue, universal cooperation, and the unity of the Church. Chambezy is presented as a dynamic space where Orthodoxy engages in dialogue with the modern world, remaining faithful to tradition while also being open to the spirit of the times, offering a message of truth, peace, and hope.
At the same time, this work aims to shed light on the theological core of the Patriarchate's universal sensitivity: the certainty that the unity of the Church is not a matter of structure or authority, but a fruit of spiritual experience and grace. In this context, the Orthodox Center of Chambezy stands as a reference point for understanding Orthodoxy not only as a doctrine but as a way of life that embraces both people and the world.
I hope this book serves as an invitation to deeper theological self-awareness, as well as a testimony of our responsibility to serve, with a spirit of unity and dialogue, the truth of the Gospel within contemporary history.
