The TerraMaster F4-425 NAS server has four drive bays and a quad-core Intel Celeron N5095 processor, with a base frequency of 2 GHz and a Turbo frequency of up to 2.9 GHz. It comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, expandable to 16 GB. It supports 2.5" and 3.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs, with a maximum storage capacity of up to 120 TB.

The TOS 6 operating system supports file management, data synchronization, backups and remote access. The Terra Photos app organizes photos using on-device image analysis, while the device supports hardware-accelerated 4K video transcoding and works with Plex, Emby and Jellyfin. It also provides user accounts, shared folders, access permissions, data encryption, automatic blocking of suspicious login attempts and a firewall.
