The SMLIGHT SLZB-MR1U adapter is a modern, multi-protocol LAN adapter that allows central control of Zigbee, Thread, and Z-Wave systems (via USB dongle) from a single device connected to Ethernet. It features built-in USB passthrough functionality over TCP/IP, allowing a connected USB dongle (e.g., Z-Wave) to be exposed on the network as a remote serial port, as if it were connected directly to your server.

The MR1U version offers Ethernet with PoE support, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, USB-C, and USB-A for expansion. It uses the TI CC2652P radio chip as a Zigbee coordinator and the EFR32MG21 as a Thread Border Router, while network management is handled via an ESP32. It is a suitable choice for Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, and advanced installations.
