Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster has been renewed by the Nightdive Studios team, completely redesigned through the proprietary KEX engine.

New and returning players will enjoy enhanced gameplay, high-resolution textures, improved brightness and rendering, as well as gamepad support.

The original Star Wars: Dark Forces from 1995 raised the bar for FPS games, offering players significant movement and interaction, a wide selection of items and power-ups, as well as immersive environments.

In the first Star Wars FPS game, players take on the role of Kyle Katarn, a defector from the Galactic Empire who has become a mercenary. Katarn participates in the Rebel Alliance's covert operation with a mission to infiltrate the Galactic Empire, where he uncovers the secret Dark Trooper Project.

The development of this powerful series of Imperial battle robots and armored stormtroopers will strengthen the Empire's influence in the galaxy, unless Katarn and the Rebel Alliance intervene.
