SmartGuard adjusts the inverter's operation under both normal and unstable grid conditions, ensuring seamless transition between grid-connected and off-grid modes. During normal grid operation, the inverter supplies both main and secondary loads. In case of a power outage, the system switches to off-grid mode, supplying only backup loads until the grid is restored.

The backup solution includes photovoltaic (PV) strings, Huawei Smart String ESS energy storage system, three-phase Huawei inverters, SmartGuard, and main loads. Equipped with EMMA, Huawei’s energy management assistant, the SmartGuard-63A-T0 offers smart load management. By integrating smart loads such as SG Ready-compatible heat pumps and smart switches, the system extends its functionality, allowing users to prioritize the use of PV energy for different devices, thus maximizing the utilization of available solar energy.
