Royal Canin Urinary S/O is a complete dietetic wet food for adult cats, in the form of a chicken pâté. Its urine-acidifying properties and low magnesium content help dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence. It is also recommended for feline lower urinary tract disease.
It is indicated for idiopathic cystitis and struvite urolithiasis, or urolithiasis involving both struvite and calcium oxalate. A veterinarian’s advice is recommended before use. The recommended period of use is 5 to 12 weeks to dissolve struvite stones and up to 6 months to reduce their recurrence. It is not suitable for growing, pregnant or nursing cats, or for cats with chronic kidney or heart failure, hypertension, or those being treated with urine acidifiers.
